About Us

Winnemucca UMC, also known as Praise Chapel, is a vibrant and inclusive faith-based community located in Winnemucca, Nevada. Our church is dedicated to sharing the love, grace, and teachings of Jesus Christ with everyone, regardless of their background or beliefs.

We believe that faith is not just a Sunday morning tradition but a way of life that should inspire us to love and serve one another. At Winnemucca UMC, we strive to create a welcoming and nurturing environment where individuals and families can grow spiritually and find support in their journey of faith.

Our Mission

Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We aim to accomplish this through worship, fellowship, education, and service. Our church actively seeks opportunities to engage with the community and make a positive impact, sharing God's love in practical and meaningful ways.

Worship Services

Join us for our uplifting and inspiring worship services held every Sunday at Winnemucca UMC. Our worship services are a blend of traditional and contemporary elements, combining hymns and modern worship songs, relevant messages, and moments of prayer and reflection.

We believe that worship is a communal experience where we can connect with God and with one another. Our services are designed to create a sacred space where individuals can encounter God's presence and be transformed by the power of His love.

Connect and Grow

At Winnemucca UMC, we believe that spiritual growth happens best in community. We offer various opportunities for individuals of all ages to connect and grow in their faith journeys.

Small Groups

Our small groups provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals to dive deeper into their faith and build authentic relationships. These groups meet regularly to study the Bible, discuss relevant topics, pray together, and provide mutual support and encouragement.

Youth and Children's Ministries

We are passionate about investing in the next generation. Our youth and children's ministries aim to help young people develop a strong foundation of faith, discover their God-given gifts and talents, and grow into mature followers of Jesus. Through engaging programs, events, and mentoring relationships, we strive to create a space where young people can thrive and find their place in God's story.

Missions and Outreach

As followers of Christ, we are called to love and serve our neighbors. Our church is actively involved in local and global missions and outreach initiatives. We partner with various organizations to address social justice issues, provide assistance to those in need, and share God's love in practical ways.
